Carter 2 v/s Carter3 : Which Album Tops?

The Carter II or The Carter III?
The Carter III is Lil’Wayne’s most successful album, selling well over 2 million copies to date. Tha Carter II didn’t do that well commercially, but a lot of critics say it’s a ‘better’ album artistically. According to Jackso Njehia, a music writer with The Insyder, “Weezy was more rap and craft-oriented in II, but in III he was more mainstream…more hip pop rather than hip hop…kinda like Ja Rule.”
Others say that the reason III outsold II with such huge volumes is because it was simply a better product. “Lil’ Wayne killed it in III, he was a better rhymester, more creative and appealed to a wider audience of hip hop lovers,” blurts Marsdoe of Parki Boiz.
So what’s the final word; is Tha Carter III better than II? Well, every classic rap album redefines the boundaries of contemporary hip hop. The difference between a great album and a classic one is uniqueness. Classic albums always provide a fresh perspective on life and rap game, in general. These classic records force us to rethink matters in our own life and the best ones actually give clarity and direction toward our aspirations.
What we at the Blackbook are gonna do, is put both of these albums to The Insyder’s Classic Rap Album Test and see which one comes out tops. What are the elements of a classic rap album?
1. Reflects The Mood of an Era
2. Thought Provoking
3. Emotion Evoking
4. Entertainment Satisfaction
5. Lyrically On Point

Each of the above 5 key elements will be rated on a scale of 1 – 5; with 1 being the least ideal and 5 perfect
