theinsyderLIVE was last Saturday @ the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) and in a Kenya first, streamcast the event live via the Safaricom network. According to theinsyderLIVE Technical Director, Marcus Itimu, this was the first in a series of test streamcasts before the much-anticipated CHAT Awards. "We were simply trying to see if this is even possible with our current bandwidth and speeds...this was really a mini-pilot project. We're actually working on bigger things and we were extremely excited about last Saturday's results," said a rather elated Mr. Itimu. "It's our intention to streamcast the entire CHAT Awards this December via mobile, allowing teeniez with cell phones to catch it wherever they may be" revealed Mr. Itimu, "mobile is the new TV and we want to be at the forefront of this revolution. We want to take entertainment to a whole new level and want that vehicle to be theinsyderLIVE." theinsyderLIVE also streamcast part of The Insyder Miss BOMA event last Friday. The event was hosted by the coolest mag on the planet and featured some of Ogopa DJ's hottest acts including Marya, Col. Moustapha, Avril and Trapee. You can check out the streamcast below...
